This is an icapps internal project. We have a lot of test devices. All of them can be used for development. But you want to track which devices are used less than others. So we decided to build an application for renting and returning devices on a Raspberry Pi with Android Things. For a desktop manager app, we chose to use Flutter.
Flutter
It had to be easy to implement a Desktop application while maybe be able to check the status on your phone as well. Flutter was the perfect solution to our problem. It was a perfect opportunity to work further with Flutter and test out how to implement different screen sizes with one codebase so we could build for phone, tablet, desktop, web and even TV. Maybe smartwatch is the next step?
