Sibos is an annual financial services networking event organized by SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication). The Sibos app is a mobile application that provides conference attendees with up-to-date information about the event, including the conference schedule, speaker information, and venue maps. It also features a social network for attendees, allowing them to connect and engage in discussions, and provides access to conference materials and the ability to provide feedback on sessions.
As the lead developer for the Sibos app, I was responsible for ensuring that the app was delivered on time and met the expectations of the stakeholders. I was also tasked with training another colleague to learn Flutter, a new programming language for the project. It was a great opportunity for me to not only lead the development team but also to share my knowledge and help someone else grow in their career.
Working on the Sibos app was an incredible experience for me. I was able to put my technical skills to the test, and I also gained valuable experience leading a development team. I was proud to see the app come to life and to know that it was helping to make the Sibos conference more accessible and engaging for attendees.
